Learning Hub | Financial Modeling 101

As part of its 'Learning Hub Segment', the IBA Career Development Center organized a virtual workshop on Financial Modeling 101. The workshop was facilitated by IBA alumnus, Mr. Talha Ameer Khan who is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a Chartered Financial Modulator. He recently obtained his Financial Modeling and Assessment Analyst certification from the Corporate Finance Institute. The workshop focused on the basics of financial modeling and MS Excel techniques for maintaining databases. Participants practiced modelling techniques using a real-time case study methodology and evaluated the company using a discounted cash flow model. The workshop was followed by a question-and-answer segment in which the students asked multiple questions and clarified their queries.
